Management and leadership

During the last 60 years more than 65 different classification systems were created to define what leadership is. It is said that there are as many definitions as there are people, trying to define it.

How important is the definition of what leadership is, the type of leadership one chooses to follow daily? Firstly, it is important to know whether one has potential to be a leader, which can be easily recognised in the person's behavior. Leadership is like love in a relationship: if it is there, it can easily be seen in words, actions, decisions, behavior. It is  also as clear if it is not there...

Modern research results show that the top leadership priorities are a clear vision, the ability to give feedback, motivational communication and trust (2010 Workplace Issues Study, Joshua Freedman). Twenty-first-century leaders are, most importantly, people's leaders. That means that the leader's emotional maturity (EQ), frame of mind and consistency of decisions in order to achieve a goal, are the most important paradigms of an efficient leaders – the kind of leaders all partners, employees, society and investors want to see.

All LEG management and leadership training programs are based on EQ competences' development. They use EQ competences measuring tests that help to develop the leaders' self-awareness, self-control and creating constructive relationships in organisations.

Management and emotional competences and skills are developed through continuous training sessions. The most common topics discussed:
·  Challenges of managing the Millennium Generation.
·  Employee motivation questions (or how to avoid demotivating people?)
·  Leader as a role model. Developing a leader's EQ competences.
·  Situational leadership.
·  Mentorship.
·  Leadership basics, etc.
